There is no question that 2020 has been a year like no other. In this season filled with constant change and uncertainty, we grow more grateful each day for the fact that our children have a safe place to learn and thrive at The Preschool.   

As you may remember, The Preschool Soiree (our marquee fundraising event slated for last spring) had to be postponed until March 2021 due to Covid-19. Although we are still saddened that this event could not take place as planned, we are amazed by the continued generosity of our event sponsors, auction donors, and ticket purchasers. In an effort to honor their commitments and continue raising important funds for our school, we’re thrilled to announce that we will be hosting The Preschool Soiree Auction online later this month! Please review the details below to learn more about the process and the purpose of this exciting event. 

Auction Particulars:

November 16-19 - The Preschool Soiree Website: https://thepreschool.ejoinme.org/soiree2020

• Bidding Begins - Monday, November 16 at 8:00am
• Bidding Ends - Thursday, November 19 at 9:00pm
• Winners - Collect winnings November 30 - December 1 in The Preschool lobby
• Donate for Delivery - Make a $30 tax-deductible donation to have items delivered to your doorstep 
• Items for Bid - Class Baskets, Toys and Books, Art, Experiences, Accessories, Memberships

Auction Preview in Person:

November 16-19 - Grace Hall: 9:00am - 12:30pm

*Grace Hall is located inside the church, separate from The Preschool building. Auction previewers will not encounter any students, teachers, or classes. All safety protocols will be followed; specifics coming soon.*

• Peruse auction items; plan your purchases, or place your bids in person! 
• Purchase a selection of “Buy Now” items without bidding!
• Ponder the joy of completing your Holiday shopping early!

Auction Purpose:  

Why, you may ask, are we hosting this auction? The answer is simple: opening and operating a school safely and successfully during a pandemic is costly. By placing a bid and making a purchase, your generosity will directly benefit the important people at our school - our students and teachers. Funds raised through The Preschool Soiree Auction will provide for the following: 

• Teacher Laptops - Teachers are embracing digital tools and participating in virtual teaching and learning experiences like never before. Access to this technology contributes to their success as leaders. 
• Additional Teachers and Classrooms - In order to keep group sizes small and allow appropriate distancing, more classes, more teachers, and more classrooms are necessary inside of our building. Transforming repurposed spaces into learning environments and hiring additional qualified educators will offer safer and more effective learning opportunities for students. 
• Classroom Cleaning Supplies - This one speaks for itself. The sheer volume of cleaning products required and used on a daily basis in pandemic life creates an increased cost that we can directly offset.
